Originally trained as a classical clarinetist
and jazz saxophonist, Dan DeGregory began playing clubs and festivals
as a drummer, vocalist and acoustic guitarist nearly 18 years
ago while a student at the University of Virginia. Since then,
he has worked gigs and studio sessions and has performed on radio
and TV up and down the East Coast between Baltimore and the Florida
Keys. His performing and recording credits include Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame inductee Bo Diddley; international blues legend,
the late Rock Bottom; and world-class jazz vocalist Marilyn Freemon.
Since 2001, he also has been fortunate to work with several talented
Tampa Bay-area songwriters and bands, including Sandy Atkinson,
Stephanie Anderson, Ralph Famiglietti, the Rich Whiteley Band
and the Hamilton-Harris Project.
